3 Tips to Improve Your Shopping Experience

Dear Motorola.
I've been using Motorola devices since I was able to ditch my old Nokia brick phone. I had a Karma before I moved up to smartphones. My family has used Motorola products since the era of bag phones in the car. You can imagine how disenchanted I am by your company at the moment.
When I bought the phone, the woman told me that the product had "gorilla glass" on it, and that it would be well protected from minor bumps. It was not at all protected by this minor bump I encountered a few hours ago. In fact, when I went into the AT&T store, a salesperson walked by and offhandedly noted that the same thing had happened to her manager, and a number of her friends. This being told to me in the same instance as I was told I would have to pay a few hundred bucks to replace it. She also admitted that "gorilla glass" may just be a buzzword.
If this is as common as I'm being told it is, I feel a bit upset that somehow this is my responsibility. I wasn't throwing it against a wall, and it seems apparent that this sort of thing is pretty common.
I honestly hate coming off as angry, as I had waited for months to purchase the Atrix. I was ready to once again hand my money off to a Motorola device. I am currently waiting the 1-2 business days to receive my replacement, and anticipating the hit that my already pitiful checking account is going to suffer.
I don't really want to use Motorola anymore. The phone I was so excited for, and to be honest, so satisfied with, doesn't seem so glamorous anymore. The abuse my friends' iPhones take makes what happen to my phone seem like a feather's drop. I wanted to support your company, and in many ways, I still want to, but now I know that not only did you make a product that can't handle common jostles, but you are blissfully unaware and unable to help those who do give their money to you.
Thanks for all the years of products that I could support.
It's a shame those years have come to a close.

And you thought Hot Topic had bad shirts...
Ok, I'll admit; I think this one is pretty good. Would I wear it? No. I don't dislike the President, so whatever. If I saw someone wearing this, I'd at least look at it and think "At least they're using the internet."

Monsters By Ken Dahl: Reviewed
This is written by someone she had correspondence with through the internet over the years (remember myspace friends that you didn't know but somehow felt a connection with? God, 2003 was a long time ago), and had been working on this book. It's a quick read, but well worth it for the $18 it's listed for.Thursday, September 2, 2010
A dumb, stupid note about all of us being wieners to everyone.
I'm tired of reading the news. I'm tired of watching the news. I'm tired of everyone's opinions. We all need to stop being dicks to one another.
That should be enough, but writing a note just to call everyone a dick seems a bit mean, and not the thought that I'm wanting to convey.
I remember way back in the day, discussing who the best Ninja Turtle was. Personally, I was always a fan of Donatello, he was smart, he could invent things. Many of my friends were more supportive of Michaelangelo. This argument would usually last about 5 minutes, and we'd move on. This never caused physical altercations, we never had rallies about which Turtle we were more keen to, it was just a matter of opinion. Now, when we argue, it's all or nothing. One must win, one must fall. It's turned into Thunderdome in the real world (but not as awesome). Politics, religion, whatever it is you have an opinion on, it's just that; an opinion. I'm tired of seeing stories about how our country is polarizing itself, and I'm pointing the finger at everyone; people I agree with are JUST as bad as the people I disagree with, I mean, come on, people have counter rallies to make fun of rallies, what dicks! You're just trying to be mean. We're being big babies about everything, and we're grown ups now! I just want a break from it. Can we all, as a country, go out to a bowling alley, have a pizza party, and just be friends? I hear they have Double Dragon in the arcade area!
I'm not a religious person, I personally don't believe in God at this point in my life. If you do believe in God, then it's as real to me as it is to you, I don't think you're silly, and I don't think religion is a bad thing, I think it's awesome that you have that in your life. Do you want to hang out and play Super Mario 2? You can have the controller first!
You believe our country is being run poorly, you don't like the choices our leaders are making. That's cool, you have a lot of strong, intelligent, well thought out arguments. I, too, have my arguments that oppose yours. Mine are just as valid. Or maybe both of our arguments are stupid and we haven't read enough on the topic, want to go rent Die Hard?
I'm tired of being forced onto a dodgeball team where we throw big rubber balls made of posters and witty bumper stickers at each other. Because I feel one way doesn't make me a member of any group or party, the same way that if you tell me you believe something different doesn't make you my opponent. We don't have to agree with one another, but I think we need to start remembering to respect opinions that aren't ours. I don't want to see any more crappy t-shirts making fun of a group of people you disagree with. I don't want a big dumb rally to prove your point. I just want us to be friends again. Truce?
It's frustrating to see nobody getting anywhere, because we're all standing in each others' ways! I'm not saying we can't disagree, but can we just be fine that someone disagrees with us? Can we not hate someone who prefers Leonardo?
